Black Micro suede Parsons Chairs

Here's a set of parsons chairs that I slipcovered in a yummy black microsuede.

Originally these were very formal with white upholstery and tailored floor length skirts (sorry, no photo). The homeowners are redecorating and wanted to ditch the skirts to make it a little more casual. The microsuede fabric is just about indestructible and most spills will clean up with plain water.

This home's open concept living space includes a pair of white leather sofas and two bold zebra ottomans instead of a coffee table. They ordered extra zebra fabric from the manufacturer and had me make lumbar pillows for each chair as well as toss pillows for the sofas. The black suede chairs are the perfect quiet complement to the other textiles. While these folks weren't trying to save money, this fabric turned out to be a pleasant surprise at just $12.99/yard. It comes in a million colors too.

I've been on a black chair kick for a few weeks now. Here's a cell phone shot of another set of black parsons chairs that I recently slipcovered for a designer. These are in a heavy linen weave poly with tailored skirts.
