Uniting Mismatched Furniture with Slipcovers

A husband and wife use this sunny little spot next to their kitchen for for coffee, cocktails, and conversation while one of them cooks. The mismatched furniture is comfy, but most definitely in need of a new look.

Inspired by her impressive collection of Mackenzie Childs accessories, she a chose simple black linen with cream piping to unite all three pieces. 

After:

The pre-washed linen has a nice relaxed vibe that suits this home's coastal location. I decided that the best way to make them work together was to add a box pleat skirt of the same length to each piece. I also tried to use the same general lines for the piping on both chairs.
