Chaise Lounge

What's more inviting than a squishy chaise lounge nestled into the corner of a bedroom? Not much I say. Except when it is sporting its original 80's rad chintz upholstery.

This beauty was spotted at Parker Place and quickly snapped up, because solid pieces like this don't come along every day.

Now that is some ugly fabric! But the chaise is in perfect condition with a wonderful down filled cushion.

While it may get boring for me to almost always be sewing neutral linen slipcovers, I can't argue with the results... a classic look that fits in anywhere. Here she is now!

I've used this fabric numerous times. It shreds like a b*#ch and each time I grumble through, racing to serge the edges before it ravels away. And then, when it's finished, it's like magic because it hugs the furniture so nicely and holds a nice crisp pleat. It came from Hancock's and the ladies there have told me it's now discontinued... we'll see.

If you live in or near Salisbury, make it a point to stop in Parker Place regularly, Anne gets some really cool stuff. I'll be sharing a few more transformations in the near future.
